A LIFE WELL LIVED A Sulphur Springs, Texas native, Lillian Ruth Cyrus was born January 31,1938 to Dote Berry and Bettie Williams, who preceded her in death. After a courageous battle with Congestive Heart Failure, and COVID19 complications, Lillian's labor to this world was completed. God's glory lit up the room, and she peacefully transitioned July 23, 2021 at 9:23PM. Also preceding her in death, her husband of 46 years, Willie J. Cyrus, bonus son, Larry J. Cyrus, brothers-Douglas, Floyd, DB and Tracy Berry. Sisters-Jerlean York, Willie Mae Harris, Odell Askew, Verna Lewis and Elvira Donatta. Lillian lived a faith based life, and was an active member of Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, until her health began to fail in 2015. She believed strongly in RELATIONSHIP over religion, being of service to others, and family first, ALWAYS. Lillian was a woman of many hats. She was a dedicated employee of Western Electric(Now AT&T) for over 30 years, as well as a service provider at various Denny's Restaurants for 19+ years. She was also a multiple business owner beside Willie for many years. From concert promotions, full service gas stations, to heading economic development projects, her contributions ensured the comfort and stability of her beloved family. A fiercely dressed woman who operated in the boldness of God. STRONG&SILENT, but knew how, and when to use her voice. She never met a stranger, and helped anyone who needed it. Lillian lived a life of PURPOSE, and it flowed from her for 83 years. She was loved, admired and respected in the hearts, and eyes of everyone she encountered. She was FEARLESS, a WARRIOR, BLESSED, AND HIGHLY FAVORED. GOD'S GIRL..THE QUEEN. To cherish her memory, and uphold her legacy, Lillian leaves her daughter, Kimberly Cyrus, bonus son, Michael Sims, grandchildren-Jocelyn Cyrus, KaSyah Goodspeed, and KuMari Goodspeed. Great grandchildren-Marcus Denton, DeMarion Denton, and Cherish Porter. Her loving siblings, brother, Travis Berry(Sulphur Springs, TX) and sister, Rammie Rose(Dallas, TX) Lillian also leaves behind, a host of nuclear, extended and blended family members. Bonus children, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in Christ, loving friends, and AN UNDENIABLE LEGACY.
