Robert Wayne Brown

Robert Wayne Brown,69 of Kansas City, MO. passed away Sunday, on February 06, 2022 peacefully at home. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at a later date. Robert Wayne Brown was born in Arizona grew up in Texas and later moved to Kansas City, MO. He moved to Kansas City to care for his maternal grandmother. Robert attended Prairie View A&M University on a track and field scholarship. Robert began his career at Army ammunition plant in KCMO as a laborer and retired after 20 years of service. During his Post retirement, he trained and skilled in carpentry. Robert was well known for his candidness, jokester, and the 70’s era afro hairstyle with a side part and placing a large wide tooth comb in his hair . He also, enjoyed old school music. His love for the 70’s music so much, that he decided to challenge himself by, earning a degree in radio TV/broadcasting. Robert family and fun times consisted of singing along the lyrics of variety of 70’s Artist/Groups such as Four Tops, Temptations and Earth, Wind and Fire songs and etcetera. Robert was preceded in death by both parents William Brown and Olethea Thompson Brown. Robert leaves to cherish his memories; Brother’s Thomas Ringo and Ronald Carter; Daughter’s Courtney LaTedra Brown of Waco, Texas Avon Trebor Brown and step-daughter Sharlanda “Pebbles” Edwards, Grandsons, O’Brien Mitchell Sr., Marcquan Lane and Brooke Lane, Great Grandson’s, O’Brien Mitchell Jr., and O’Rien Mitchell all of Kanas City, Missouri, Granddaughter’s and Great Granddaughter’s of Waco, Texas; and a host of family and friends.
